The Solution

STI Desanders remove the sand using a patented process (Canadian Patent #2,433,724. Other Canadian and International patents pending.) The application of basic physics and fluid dynamics principals, allows produced fluids and gas to pass through the device while virtually all solid particles collect on the bottom. During the simple servicing procedure, sand production is monitored. Frequency of servicing is determined from observed conditions.
During installation, STI provides orientation and training for Well Operators in the safe operation and servicing of the de-sander. We also perform Ultra-sonic thickness (UTS) testing to verify that the de-sanders are not eroded. We can also verify that no critical erosion has occurred on your equipment before installation.
The following is a list of features that STI desanders offer:
- Pressure Ratings 9930 kPa - 41,370 kPa
- Temperature ratings -20°F & -50°F & Heated units available
- Registered ASME ABSA pressure vessels
- Sweet & Sour service models available
- Patented Equipment and Process
- Recovers frac sand and formation sand
- Allows monitoring of sand production
