The 41220 is shown here with the Desurge spool. This combination is the highest capacity 4 series within STI. Operating at 2900 psi, the unit is capable of handling up to 30 mmcfpd (860 e3m3/d) and has a storage capacity of 660 lb... (300kg) sand. The desurge spool increases the efficiency of the unit when operating in a slug flow environment
The model 52420 is the largest 1500 ANSI unit in STI’s fleet. Dually configured, it can handle large volumes of gas, up to 73mmcfpd and has a sand storage capability of up to 1.3 tonne (2,650 lb...). Designed for high volume gas wells, it also performs well in limited access locations where clean-outs are only possible on an annual basis.
41215 and Insulated versions: the 41215 is the workhorse of the STI fleet. It has a capacity of up to 22mmcfpd (216 e3m3/d) and a storage capacity of 476 lb... (220 kg). The pictures show two units operating in parallel North of Ft St John BC, in the dead of winter. Operating in parallel allows the units to double capacity and allow the well to operate during cleaning cycles.
The 61416 is the highest pressure de-sander operating in STI’s fleet. Rated to 6,000 psi & 2500 ANSI, this de-sander will handle most pressures in the Western Canada Basin. As with all units, operating at elevated pressures increase the sand removal efficiencies of the vessel and allows for gas conservation during well cleanup. By placing the high pressure equipment directly on the wing valve of the wellhead, all downstream equipment, choke manifolds, separators, line heaters and pipelines are protected from sand erosion. Since the gas can be conserved, there is no need for flares or incineration. With the choke manifold protected from sand erosion, the risk of fugitive emissions and uncontrolled flow are minimized
